Wrestling DVD Review
I just recently watched the DVD "Road Warriors: The life and death of the most dominant tag team in wrestling history" from WWE Home Video. The Road Warriors are probably hands down my favorite wrestling team of all time. This dvd does a really nice job chronicling the Legion of Doom from it's inception to the present, although it was put together after the untimely passing of Road Warrior Hawk. Road Warrior Animal does a really nice walk through of the piece, he takes you to old haunts where he and Hawk used to work, the gym in Minneapolis where they got together with some other future wrestling stars like Barry Darsow, and he walks you through the early days and doesn't pull any punches to the demons they both fought throughout their over 20 year career together. There is also nice commentary with Jim Cornette, Michael P. S. Hayes, Jim Ross, Edge and the LOD manager Precious Paul Ellering. This dvd also has several classic matches with the Road Warriors from their early days up through the LOD 2000 resurgence of a couple of years ago. As a special feature there is also an old music video from the eighties included, it is a real hoot to watch. You can get this dvd package, along with a Road Warriors t-shirt from WWE Shop Zone for $14.98. If you are a wrestling fan, especially of the Road Warriors, it is definitely worth the price, I give this five out of five stars.
